Pamela R. Franco, Ph.D., a native of Trinidad and Tobago, is the current Board Chair of the Institute for Ashe Movement. She holds a graduate degree in Art History from Emory University. She taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Tulane University. Dr. Franco also worked in the Office of Academic Affairs at Xavier University and presently is working in the College of Sciences at the University of New Orleans. A reader for WRBH, New Orleans radio station for the blind, she is also pursuing a career reading audiobooks. Her specialty is the literature of the African Diaspora.
